My Holy Grail Serum: IT’S SKIN Power 10 Formula VC Effector – Vitamin C Serum Review

Hola!

I’m back with a product review of the It’s Skin Power 10 Formula VC Effector. *Phew that’s a mouthful.

We all know about The 10 Step Korean Skin Care Routine which I don’t follow because I’m tamad and my face is good with just using a cleanser and an exfoliator. Also if I put too much product it will make my skin breakout. But anyway, one of the steps that Koreans use on the 10 Step Skin Care Routine is a Serum.

It took a long while for me to review this, because if you read my previous posts I usually use a product for 2-3 months or longer before I make any review. I first got to use this product back in 2017, it’s my first ever serum and no joke I never had any pimples or breakouts since so I loved it and am now on my third bottle!

Ingredients:

It contains Vitamin C and Green Tea. Vitamin C has the ability to brighten the skin, fade pigmentation and promote collagen production while Green Tea helps to reduce the appearance of dark spots, blemishes and acne scars. It also helps make your pores smaller while leaving your skin soft and smooth. Continuous use of the product will result into a healthier and fairer skin.

This product is also dermatologist-tested and gentle on sensitive skin.

I just found out that the brand, Itā€™s Skin incorporates mostly natural ingredients so all their skincare products are free from colorants and alcohol!

It also contains: Water, Butylene glycol, Glycerin, Dipropylene glycol, Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate, Ethyl hexanediol, Carbomer, Ethylhexylglycerin, Triethanolamine, Camellia sinensis leaf extract, Polyglutamic acid, Acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, Fragrance, Disodium edta, Peg-60 hydrogenated castor oil.

Product and Packaging:

I apologize for the half-full product, I obviously use it a lot. šŸ˜…

The product comes in a mini glass bottle with a dropper which my co-worker joked that it looks like a Tiki-tiki product. You know, the ones that babies use. šŸ˜‚ Anyway, The dropper is very convenient since you get an ample amount of the product.

Final Verdict:

I bought this because I wanted to try a serum and this was also one of the best-selling products back in 2017 aside for the Innisfree Green Tea Seed Serum however that was more pricey so I decided to try this one instead. I use this everyday on my evening skincare routine.

The instructions on applying this product is to apply 2 to 3 drops on the face and neck after cleansing and toning and then let it sit for a few minutes to allow the product to sink in before applying moisturizer. Since the product is too heavy on the skin, what I do is use a damp towel and apply 2-3 drops of the product on it. Itā€™s much more effective.

After using this for a year:

  • I had zero to none acne or breakouts.
  • Brightened my skin, well not like made it lighter, I guess it gave me a Glow-up of sorts.
  • Gave me a soft and smooth, healthy skin.

And the Million Dollar Question “Would I Repurchase?”

Well from using 2-3 bottles of this I would say “YES!” Again and again.

Have you guys tried the It’s Skin Power 10 Formula VC Effector – Vitamin C Serum? Comment down below. šŸ’–

My Updated Skincare Routine

I’ve been being serious about my skincare routine lately, I’ve recently bought a serum from Althea.Kr which is the It’s Skin VC Effector Serum and I AM IN LOVE WITH IT! Adding a serum definitely made a huge improvement on my skin. Let me tell you more about my updated skin care routine below:

My skin care routine is nothing fancy, it’s just Cleanse + Serum + Treatment + Eye Cream.

First, I cleanse with the Biore Skin Care Cleanser. I’ve always used the Ponds Acne Clear Solutions or the Smooth Pores variant but when I turned 23, my skin started getting red after I use it or I get weird bumps on my face. I guess it’s because they’ve altered the ingredients and my skin isn’t liking it. I discovered the Biore Cleanser on a trip to Singapore. Click this link here to know more about the product. I can say over time thisĀ  made my skin baby smooth and clear though it isn’t good when you try to remove heavy makeup. I might be trying other variants of the Biore Skin Care range soon because of this one.

I don’t really use toner anymore as my philosophy in Skin care and Make up in general is The lesser the better. I don’t want to clog my pores with too much product. So after the cleanser I apply the It’s Skin VC Effector Serum, it made a huge improvement on my skin. The effects aren’t immediate but as I kept using it I noticed my face becoming brighter and more vibrant. I have a hard time sleeping at night so I’m usually bangag *lol but when I put this baby on it doesn’t make my face look tired in the morning, instead it looks plump and healthy. After waking up you’ll notice that you have a selfie ready face, at least for me.

Last but not least I apply the Benton Fermentation Eye Cream. I’m now incorporating anti-aging products onto my skin cause let’s face it hun’ I’m not getting any younger by the minute so it’s best to apply anti-aging product as early as possible. I noticed this product easily absorbs on the skin once you apply it, I’m not seeing any difference yet as I only used it thrice a week because I’m afraid of getting milia. My eyes do get itchy after applying this. I will update you soon if this product did any improvement on my skin.

For pimples,Ā  I apply the Human Nature Tea Tree as it minimizes my pimples really well until it’s no longer there. It’s one of my HG product!

For exfolation, I use the Innisfree Pore Volcanic Clay Mask twice a week. Innisfree is one my favorite skin care brand, I’am hoping they’ll have a store here in Manila! You can know more about this awesome product on my review here.

Hope you enjoy the post! I’ll be doing a review for the Benton Eye Fermentation Cream and It’s Skin VC Effector Soon.

Collective Haul: November 2017

Sometimes, you really need to treat yourself from all the hard work you’ve been putting. Before I got a new job, I haven’t really been treating myself to the things I like to save money for the big F-U-T-U-R-E. Since I’ve noticed I was able to save a lot I spent it on a couple of things.

From Left to Right:

Sephora Collection Nourishing Cream (Cotton Flower):

Been eye-ing on getting the Body Shop’s cherry blossom body wash but opted for this instead. Let’s see how this goes.

Klarity Diamond Glow Masque

Sephora Cleansing Cream:

I haven’t tried any cleansing cream before as I’ve usually use just a face wash for cleansing or the Human Nature Sunflower Oil for removing my makeup.

Dr. Jart Hand Cream:

My hands really need some TLC especially when they get really dry at the office, so I decided to get this.

Sephora Almond Lip Balm:

A girl can never have too many lip balms. šŸ˜‰

From Left to Right:

Althea’s Medi Heally Herb Warm Pack:

I bought this along with theĀ It’s Skin Power 10 VC, I got curious on what use is this product for. It’s great for when you’re having your period and need an on-the-go heating pack. I don’t recommend leaving this for more than 7 hours though as it left a kind of pus on my abdomen. Not gonna purchase again because of that, I’d rather use a heat pad.

Sephora Cleansing Collection Yuzu Cleansing Wipes:

I haven’t tried using cleansing wipes for makeup yet so I thought i’d try this out. In my opinion, their bad for the environment. Gonna give this a try though.

Althea’s It’s Skin Power 10 VC:

Again, another product I was curious about I’m very well aware of serums but never thought of buying one since I think it’s just another fad for Korean beauty products. Turns out this product makes my face look more bright and smooth. I’ll post a more detailed version of the review soon.

Opening My Althea Korea Beauty Box!

Before, I would just covet cute Korean beauty items on international websites or just drool on them while watching Get It Beauty. Even just scrolling, pinning or reblogging them on my account made my day. But Thank goodness for Althea Korea for fulfilling every K-beauty geeks’ dreams!

Althea Korea is an online shopping website that offers a variety of Korean cosmetics at a CHEAPER PRICE as they ship their products directly from South Korea.

They have a wideĀ selection of Korean beauty brands like Innisfree, IOPE, MamondeĀ and other hard-to-find Korean cosmetics. Keep in mind that their itemsĀ sell out quickly these days so a brand, like for example, Peripera might disappear on the website for a while but if you wait a few days it will re-appear.

Anyway, I love thatĀ Althea KoreaĀ gives awesome offersĀ and great discounts. They also give you free shipping once your order reaches Php 1,500 and above!

The shipping was pretty fast since I ordered it last week and it cameĀ after 4 days.Ā I have to remind you that you should leave an I.D or authorization letter when you’re not at home. As my mum had to scavenger the house for my I.D.Ā tumblr_inline_miw4wvwSFp1qz4rgp

And now, here are the items that I ordered. *Drumroll

I love that the packagingĀ is all pink and it was pretty secured. The items inside were actually housed in a bubble wrap with pink paper maches, I just had to remove it immediately because I got excited.Ā tumblr_inline_mm2wb67mxJ1qz4rgp

I got the Too Cool For School Marshmallow Puff, since I really don’t get the hype on Beauty Blenders and IMHO I wouldn’t pay for such a thing since It’s just a sponge so I found something cheaper! This cute puff!Ā tumblr_inline_mm2wbaeqQM1qz4rgp

This Tony Moly Backstage Gel Eyeliner has been highly raved by so many beauty bloggers and is a dupe for the Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner. I’ve been looking for an eyeliner to replace my Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner since it’s almost out so I chose this one from Tony Moly. I’ve already used it and I finally understand the hype! I like that it dries off to a matte finish and is freakin’ waterproof! Seriously, I washed my face two times for this so I can say it’s pretty durable and smudge-proof.

IĀ was actually looking for a primer and since I know that Banila Co. is pretty well known when it comes to their base makeup, I had to purchase their Prime Primer in Classic Matte!

A lot of beauty shopping websites I know sell this but I got really, well..confused on the price since it varies from Php 360-Php 400 for a lip balm! It’s so expensive! So when I saw this on Althea Korea my little marshmallow heart exploded! It’s a win-win for me since this is It’s Skin’s limited edition Macaron Tinted Lip & Cheek. And it’s so cute!!~Ā tumblr_inline_miw4x8Aknb1qz4rgp

I was pretty satisfied with my Althea Korea shopping experience! If you want to check out more of their products just visit them here.Ā tumblr_m4i9clAQzc1qdlkyg
